Sick Time

The Agency recognizes you may occasionally need time away from work due to illness or injury. This policy allows you an opportunity to earn credit hours to offset any financial loss you may encounter. As an 8 hour shift employee, you immediately begin earning 3.69 hours of sick leave on a bi-weekly basis for a total of 95.94 annual hours. There is no maximum accrual limit. Your accrued sick leave may be used for your own personal sickness or injury, or to care for a sick family member, as defined by policy, after 90 calendar days of employment. Under certain circumstances an employee may donate sick leave to other employees.
