EMPLOYEE HEALTH

This section will provide information on topics such as Fit Testing, Respiratory Protection, how to obtain copies of immunizations, TB and PPD Testing.

Some things to know:

  1. Fit Testing – All field employees and any employee that completes ride time (interacts with patients) are required to be fit tested upon hire, and again annually at the Health Fair. Every employee must comply with the requirements outlined in the Respiratory Protection Program.
  2. As part of the Respiratory Protection Program, the Safety Office can request an employee complete a Respiratory Questionnaire following any medical/health changes that may hinder the wear of a respirator. Doing so may require an additional fit test.
  3. TB Testing – All field employees and any employee that completes ride time (interacts with patients) is required to complete TB testing upon hire. Additional testing will occur in the case of potential exposure and upon employee request. Non-field employees have the option to have TB testing upon hire or at any time during employment.
  4. Any employee may contact the safety office via email at any time during employment for HEP B immunization and/or PPD testing. The turnaround time will be 72 business hours or less.
  5. Anyone who needs records of immunization – flu shot, PPD, etc. can send an email to Safety@medic911.com requesting the needed documents. The turnaround time will be 72 business hours or less.
