401K, ROTH, 457 Plans
401k Retirement Savings Plan
The 401k plan is available to all regular employees who are participating in the local governmental retirement system.
The Agency will contribute up to 5% of an eligible employee’s gross annual compensation into the regular 401(k) (the 5% match is in combination with both the 401k and 457).
401k Roth Retirement Savings Plan
Roth 401k – Employees may contribute up to $20,500 per year of annual pay on an after tax basis. Roth contributions are paid out tax free at retirement. Investment growth or earnings are also tax free if your Roth contributions have been in your account for at least five years and you are age 59 ½ .
457 Retirement Savings Plan
Prudential has made available an additional retirement plan as of 1/1/2013 which is the pre-tax 457 plan. This plan is available to all regular employees who are participating in the local government retirement system. The Agency will contribute up to 5% of an eligible employee’s gross annual compensation into the 457 plan (the 5% match is in combination with both the 401k and 457 plans).
Optional: If you are enrolled in both 401k plans and 457 the maximum contribution between all plans will be $41,000.
