Medic has also been able, when appropriate, to enrich the package by adding additional benefits. Both Medic and Mecklenburg County extensively researches the best options available to provide you with the most affordable and comprehensive benefits package.

Medic pays for the full cost of your Agency provided Life and AD&D Insurance, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Employee Assistance Program, and the administrative costs for your Flexible Spending accounts. Medic contributes a significant amount to your retirement accounts. Medic matches 12.12% into your NC Retirement account in addition to the 6% you already contribute. Also, Medic will match your contributions up to 5% dollar for dollar into your 401k and/or 457 retirement savings accounts.
