Mr. Arnold was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. Several people contacted 911, Emergency Medical Dispatchers coordinated with each other per protocol to get the most accurate information to dispatch appropriate responses . Matthews Fire & EMS and Medic arrived shortly to the scene and severity of accident required additional units. Additional Medic ambulance was dispatched, while current team on scene prepared and provided care for Mr. Arnold. Upon arrival of the second Medic ambulance, Mr. Arnold was transferred to the ambulance and rushed to the trauma center. Mr. Arnold is a survivor today due to effective 911 communication, multi-agency teamwork and excellent patient care.
