Cardiac Arrest at Airport

November 4th 2014. Medic celebrated another great patient reunion at Dean Reynolds office at UNCC.

Dean Reynolds went into cardiac arrest while standing at the ticket counter at Charlotte Douglas International Airport on February 21st. Bystanders contacted 911 and the CMPD officers in the area saw Dean Reynolds lying on the ground and began assessing Dean Reynolds. Paramedics stationed at the airport arrived shortly to continue care . Dean Reynolds is a survivor today due to timely CPR, early Advanced Life Support Intervention, and excellent patient care

Please join Medic and Dean Reynolds in congratulating Paramedic Lester Bailey and EMT Courtenay Martinsen on an outstanding job!

We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Charlotte Fire Department, CMPD and the hospital staff for their assistance and successful teamwork in helping to treat Dean Reynolds. Dean Reynolds positive outcome is just another example of Medic's effective community partnerships at work. We would like to thank the Dean for letting us share his story and for being an advocate of CPR training.
