Mecklenburg EMS Agency offers activities, tips, and classes to celebrate Heart Month


CHARLOTTE, NC (January 30, 2014) - Medic, the Mecklenburg County EMS Agency, is offering up a full range of activities, tips, and classes to help you love your heart and celebrate Heart Month during February.

With heart disease being the leading cause of death among both men and women in the U.S. and with every minute counting for Medic in responding to heart-related emergencies, Heart Month is something Medic strongly supports. Here is a list of ways we have lined up for you to help your heart!

February 7th: National Wear Red Day

Heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the U.S., so Wear Red & raise awareness. Then submit your best & most creative ways you wore red to our Facebook page by midnight for a chance to win great prizes!

February 8th: American Heart Association's Annual Go Red for Women Macy's Total Makeover
