Mecklenburg EMS Agency (Medic) understands the importance of providing Emergency Medical Services (EMS), during special events. MEDIC seeks to provide the best EMS services to citizens and those who request dedicated event coverage.
In order for an organization to request dedicated event coverage from Medic, they must complete the online submission form below. The form must be submitted at least fourteen (14) days prior to the event. Extended events, multi-day events, or large events requiring EMS services (with one or more ambulances) must be applied for at least thirty (30) days prior to the event.
- $357 for the first hour and $59.50 for each additional 15 minutes of service, or any portion thereof, with minimum service increments of 15 minutes for each dedicated ambulance with two care providers. A minimum service fee of two (2) hours per covered event will be charged ($357 + $238 = $595.00). Time will be calculated from the later of the requested arrival time and the actual arrival of the ambulance on-site until release by your organization.
- $92 additional per hour for events requiring more than one ambulance. These require a supervisor to provide resource coordination.
Although Mecklenburg EMS Agency will make every effort to provide the level of service requested, coverage may not be guaranteed due to the nature of the 911 system. Mecklenburg EMS Agency’s first priority is the 911 emergency system. All other activities are secondary.

By completing and submitting the online form below, you/your organization agree to the terms of Mecklenburg EMS Agency (Medic) providing dedicated event coverage (as shown on this page) and assume responsibility for payment of the total cost as specified in the above rates. Payment must be received within 30 days of invoice. If not, a late fee of $25 will incur.
