Lucky Hearts

The Lucky Hearts Campaign is a strategic partnership between Medic and the Mecklenburg Medical Alliance and Endowment (MMAE) that helps bring awareness to the need for increased bystander CPR and the need for public use Automated External Defibrillators(AEDs). 

 

 

Program Goals
 

  • Train at least 10,000 people in CPR/AED Awareness in Mecklenburg County
  • Raise $500,000 for the purchase of public use AEDs in Mecklenburg County
  • Distribute at least 400 public use AEDs in Mecklenburg County
  • Enact an AED Ordinance in Mecklenburg County
  • Increase AED registration with Medic’s 911 Dispatch Database
  • Alert community members to the presence and location of public use AEDs
